A little bit of Kratom

Kratom, scientifically known as, Mitragyna Speciosa, is a tree originating in South East Asia.  The Kratom tree has been found to be an amazing, very complex, species. The Kratom tree is a leafy tree that can reach heights of over 50 feet tall in some cases.  The trees produce clusters of beautiful rich yellow flowers as shown to the right and above.  These flowers can grow to be as big as a fist.  Although the flowers are very intriguing, the leaves of the Kratom tree are what have been found to be most interesting. 

Kratom leaves have as many as 24+ alkaloids that work together synergistically, and can only be gathered through both water extraction and an  alcohol extraction combined.  Alkaloids are the active components of numerous medicinal plants or plant-derived drugs and poisons.

Scientific studies and research have revealed the Kratom leaf, Mitragyna Speciosa, when consumed, (either by chewing the leaf or made into tea),  to be very beneficial and effective for medicinal purposes. One of the most interesting revelations, is that, with all it's many alkaloids, when consumed in different dosages, small and large, is said to cause two very different effects.  In small doses, the effect is said to be much like a stimulant, putting the user in an energized, happy state,  While a larger dose is said to act as a sedative,  putting the user in a relaxed, euphoric like state.  The "dual nature" of it's effects, acting as a stimulant and a sedative, mainly depends on which neural transmitters, in each individual person, are most affected by the active alkaloids in the Kratom leaves.
